Common CNC Machining Problems & Key Points

 
  • Wear Resistance Issues
     
    Uneven hardness, surface cracks after nitriding and quenching, and rapid thread profile wear of internal threads are likely to occur. It is necessary to control heat treatment temperature and time, test hardness after processing to avoid wear caused by insufficient hardness, and optimize the tapping process to ensure full thread profiles.
     
  • Quick-Release Structure Machining Issues
     
    Dimensional deviations of buckles and slots in quick-release nuts may cause jamming during disassembly and assembly. Precise machining of buckle dimensions is required to ensure smooth operation, while sufficient buckle strength must be guaranteed to prevent breakage from frequent disassembly and assembly that affects equipment operation.
     
  • High-Load Adaptation Issues
     
    Nuts for manipulator joints and servo motors bear high-frequency impacts. The strength of internal threads must be controlled to avoid thread tripping. Meanwhile, transition fillets between the nut body and the shank should be properly designed to reduce stress concentration and prevent fracture.
     
  • Batch Assembly Issues
     

    Automated equipment assembly has extremely high requirements for dimensional consistency of nuts. CNC machines must be calibrated regularly and tapping parameters optimized. Samples from each batch should be inspected for dimensions and hardness to ensure stable internal thread precision for automated assembly.
