Manufacturing Processes of Architectural Hardware in International Manufacturing
Manufacturing processes and quality control are the core guarantees of architectural hardware quality, as well as the key to competition in the international manufacturing industry. The high precision and durability of high-end products rely on advanced processes and strict management. The core points are summarized below.
1. Mainstream Manufacturing Processes
The core processes of architectural hardware include precision casting, forging, stamping, laser cutting, CNC machining and surface treatment. High-end products mostly adopt a combination of processes to improve quality.
- Precision Casting: Suitable for hardware parts with complex shapes, enabling integrated molding, reducing processing and material waste. It has extremely high requirements for molds, temperature and other parameters.
- Forging: Used for high-strength hardware parts. Material density and strength are improved through plastic deformation, divided into hot forging (large parts) and cold forging (small high-precision parts).
- Stamping: Suitable for mass production of small hardware parts with high efficiency and low cost. Product precision and appearance are determined by mold accuracy.
- Laser Cutting: Used for metal sheet processing with high cutting precision and smooth edges, adapting to complex modeling of high-end hardware.
- CNC Machining: Achieves high-precision and high-complexity processing, ensuring dimensional consistency of products, which mainly depends on programming and equipment accuracy.
- Surface Treatment: Improves corrosion resistance, appearance and service life. Mainstream methods include electroplating, electrophoretic coating, spraying, vacuum coating and hot-dip galvanizing, adapting to different application scenarios.
2. Quality Control Process
International high-end enterprises adopt full-process control to ensure product stability and consistency, covering four links: raw materials, production process, finished products and delivery.
- Raw Material Inspection: Test material composition, mechanical properties, etc. Production can only start after passing the inspection to eliminate hidden dangers of raw materials.
- In-process Inspection: Adopt a combination of automatic and manual inspection for each process, timely detecting problems such as dimension and precision.
- Finished Product Inspection: Conduct comprehensive inspection on dimensions, performance, etc. Unqualified products are reworked or scrapped, and strictly prohibited from leaving the factory.
- Delivery Inspection: Conduct sampling inspection (the ratio for high-end products is not less than 10%), issue inspection reports, and verify packaging and labeling.
3. International Advanced Quality Control Standards and Methods
Mainstream standards and methods include the ISO 9001 quality management system, Six Sigma management (reducing defect rates), automatic inspection equipment (improving inspection efficiency) and a full-life cycle traceability system, ensuring stable product quality and enhancing customer trust.
In summary, advanced manufacturing processes and strict quality control are the core competitiveness for architectural hardware enterprises to seize the international high-end market.
