1. Food-grade Safety and Corrosion Resistance (Critical)
Aluminum forms a dense natural Al₂O₃ passivation film, which is stable in the weak-acid, humid environment of beer production. It does not rust, release heavy metals, or produce peculiar smells, ensuring the purity of beer.
It is easy to perform food-grade surface treatments such as anodizing, polishing, and coating, complying with FDA, GB 4806.9 and other food contact standards.
2. Excellent Thermal Conductivity
The thermal conductivity of aluminum alloy is about 150–167 W/m·K, more than 3 times that of ordinary carbon steel.
It enables faster heating and cooling, better temperature uniformity, shorter brewing cycles, and stable fermentation quality.
3. Lightweight
Density is only 2.7 g/cm³, about 1/3 of steel and 1/4 of copper.
Light weight reduces transportation, installation and maintenance costs, and saves energy for equipment operation.
4. Strength and Durability
Common alloys such as 6061, 5052, 3104, after T6 heat treatment, have strength close to medium carbon steel, meeting pressure, sealing and vibration requirements in beer production lines.
