Air Conditioning Refrigeration (Expansion Valve, Four-Way Valve, Solenoid Valve)
1. Application Scope
Mainly used in the refrigeration circuits of air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and other refrigeration equipment.
- The expansion valve controls the flow and pressure of the refrigerant to realize vaporization and heat absorption.
- The four-way valve switches between cooling and heating modes of air conditioners by changing the flow direction of the refrigerant.
- The solenoid valve controls the on-off of the refrigeration circuit to ensure the normal operation of the system.
2. Core Features
- Precise flow control to stably maintain cooling and heating performance.
- Material resistance to refrigerant corrosion, compatible with common refrigerants including R22, R410A, R32, preventing valve body damage.
- Stable operation at low temperatures down to -40°C, without jamming or leakage, ensuring system reliability.
3. Processing Notes
- Internal flow passages must be extremely smooth, with surface roughness below Ra0.4. Precision polishing is required after processing, with no iron chips or burrs remaining, to avoid blockage and reduce flow resistance for improved efficiency.
- The fitting clearance between the valve core and valve body is extremely small, with dimensional accuracy controlled within ±0.005 mm to ensure precise flow control and prevent leakage. Matching surfaces must be lapped for better sealing.
- Processing must be carried out in a dry and clean environment. Residual moisture or oil is strictly prohibited, as moisture causes ice blockage and oil degrades sealing and movement. Drying and degreasing are required after processing.
- The reversing mechanism of the four-way valve must be flexible and reliable, with smooth core movement and no jamming. Reversing time shall be controlled within 0.5–1 second to ensure timely mode switching. The solenoid valve coil must have excellent insulation to avoid failure at low temperatures.
- Leakage and flow accuracy tests must be performed after processing. No refrigerant leakage is allowed, and flow adjustment error must not exceed ±5% to meet system requirements.
4. Selection Criteria
- Must be compatible with the refrigerant type used in the equipment. Different refrigerants (R22, R410A, etc.) require matching sealing materials and flow passage designs to avoid leakage or poor performance.
- Prioritize products with fast response and accurate opening: sensitive flow adjustment for expansion valves, instant reversing without delay or noise for four-way valves, and fast, smooth switching for solenoid valves.
- Choose branded valves originally matched with air conditioners or refrigerators. These products pass strict tests for high stability and long service life. Avoid general-purpose valves with uncertain compatibility and reliability.
- Inspect the appearance for no scratches or deformation, and flat, defect-free welding joints without pores or cracks. Verify that flow and pressure ratings match the refrigeration equipment.
