Heating & Underfloor Heating (Thermostatic Valve, Manifold Valve)
1. Application Scope
Suitable for heating systems in households, office buildings, shopping malls and other places, including radiator heating and underfloor heating.
- Thermostatic valves are used to adjust the inlet water temperature of radiators and underfloor heating systems, achieving precise indoor temperature control.
- Manifold valves are used to distribute and control water flow in underfloor heating pipelines, adjust the heating temperature of each room, and also serve as shut-off and maintenance valves.
2. Core Features
- Equipped with constant temperature adjustment function: automatically adjusts water flow according to the set temperature, maintains stable indoor temperature, and saves energy.
- Corrosion-resistant to hot water: suitable for heating system water temperature (usually 40–60℃).
- Reasonable flow channel design: low flow resistance ensures smooth hot water circulation and improves heating efficiency.
- Some products feature flow balancing to avoid excessive temperature differences between rooms.
3. Processing Notes
- Flow channels shall be designed with large diameter and low resistance to reduce pressure loss during hot water circulation and ensure sufficient flow at each heating terminal. The inner wall shall be smooth, free of burrs and unevenness, to prevent scale build‑up, especially suitable for central heating water quality.
- Thermostatic sensors must be installed accurately, usually in the valve core or flow channel, to quickly and precisely sense water temperature changes and adjust flow timely. Temperature control accuracy shall be within ±2℃ to avoid large temperature fluctuations.
- Anti‑corrosion coating must be uniform. The valve body surface is treated by electrophoresis or plastic spraying, with coating thickness ≥8μm, no missing coating or bubbles. It effectively resists impurities and scale in hot water, preventing rust and aging.
- The interface sealing of manifold valves must meet standards: no leakage when multiple interfaces operate simultaneously; valve cores open and close flexibly for accurate flow control. A hydrostatic test is required after processing: hold pressure at 1.0 times rated pressure for 30 minutes, no leakage is qualified.
- The adjustment mechanism of thermostatic valves shall be flexible with a wide adjustment range (usually 30–60℃) for easy user operation. Anti‑seizing design prevents failure in long‑term use.
4. Selection Guide
- Prioritize brass-forged valve bodies: high strength, excellent sealing, hot water corrosion resistance, more durable than cast valves, less prone to cracks or leakage.
- Choose products with flow balancing and constant temperature control: flow balancing ensures even water distribution and reduces room temperature differences; constant temperature control automatically maintains set temperature without frequent manual adjustment, energy‑saving and convenient.
- Ensure compatibility with central heating systems: valve pressure and flow range shall meet central heating standards (usually 0.4–0.6MPa) to avoid poor heating or valve damage.
- Check smooth valve core movement, jitter‑free adjustment, and reliable sealing with no leakage. Prefer branded products with test reports that comply with national heating equipment standards.
