Material Selection
The core materials must be spark-free alloys, commonly including beryllium bronze and aluminum bronze. Anti-static tools can use anti-static plastics and conductive rubber.
- Beryllium bronze and aluminum bronze produce no sparks upon impact or friction, and feature sufficient strength and wear resistance, making them the preferred materials for explosion-proof tools.
- Beryllium bronze provides better explosion-proof performance than aluminum bronze, suitable for high-risk environments.
- Aluminum bronze is more cost-effective, suitable for general flammable and explosive environments.
- Anti-static materials must have good electrical conductivity to discharge static electricity in time and avoid sparking caused by static accumulation.
Explosion-Proof Performance Verification
Materials must comply with national explosion-proof standards (such as the GB 3836 series). Their chemical composition and mechanical properties must undergo strict testing to ensure no sparks are generated during impact or friction.
Tools must obtain explosion-proof certification and be marked with explosion-proof grades (such as Exd II CT4, Exia II CT6, etc.) to adapt to different flammable and explosive environments.
Anti-Static Performance
Materials for anti-static tools must have stable electrical conductivity, with surface resistance controlled between 10⁶–10⁹ Ω, to timely discharge static electricity from operators and tools and prevent explosions caused by static sparks.
