Carbon steel galvanized cross-shaped combination pins are used for hardware tools.
Basic Hand Tool Components
(Core Category: General Manual Operation Tools)
1. Specific Categories & Application Scenarios
These tools form the foundation of hardware tools, covering full scenarios such as daily maintenance, light machining, and assembly operations. Their core function is to achieve basic operations including fastening, cutting, striking, and grinding via manual operation.
Specific tools include:
- Wrenches: open-end wrench, ring wrench, adjustable wrench, hex key, etc.
- Pliers: combination pliers, long-nose pliers, diagonal cutting pliers, vice grips, etc.
- Screwdrivers: Phillips, slotted, and Torx screwdrivers (manual and semi-automatic types)
- Hammers: claw hammer, ball-peen hammer, engineer’s hammer, etc.
- Files: flat file, round file, triangular file, etc.
- Chisels: flat chisel, pointed chisel
- Hand Saws: hacksaw frame, manual hacksaw blade
- Punches, chisels, scrapers, grinders, and other hand tools.
With wide application, they are used for household daily maintenance (furniture assembly, home appliance repair), factory light assembly, on-site construction work, and minor auto repair. They represent the most widely used and accessible category of tools.
2. Key Material Selection Requirements
The core demands for these tools are high strength, high toughness, wear resistance, and impact resistance, along with good hand feel and operational safety. Material selection focuses on four key points:
-
Material Selection
Priority materials: Chrome Vanadium Steel (CR-V), high-carbon steel (e.g. 45# steel, 65Mn). High-end products can use Chrome Molybdenum Steel (CR-MO).
- CR-V: high toughness, strong impact resistance, not easy to break; suitable for torque-bearing tools such as wrenches and pliers.
- High-carbon steel: high hardness and good wear resistance; suitable for sharp-edged tools such as files, hand saws, and chisels.
- CR-MO: high strength and corrosion resistance; ideal for high-end, heavy-duty applications.
-
Heat Treatment
Strict quenching and tempering are required to meet hardness standards:
- Wrenches & pliers: HRC 45–55
- Files & chisels: HRC 58–62
Stress relief must be performed after heat treatment to prevent deformation during use.
-
Surface Treatment
Anti-rust and anti-corrosion treatments are required, such as galvanizing, chrome plating, blackening, and phosphating.
- Household tools: prefer chrome plating or galvanizing for appearance and rust protection.
- Industrial tools: blackening or phosphating for lower cost and better wear resistance under harsh conditions.
-
Detail Adaptation
- Wrenches: high opening precision to avoid slippage.
- Pliers: precise jaw engagement for firm clamping.
- Screwdrivers: high hardness and tip accuracy to prevent slipping or breakage.
- Hammers: secure head-handle connection to avoid detachment and injury.
3. Our Advantages in Processing & Assembly
We independently manufacture all components for these tools, including wrench bodies, plier jaws, screwdriver bits, hammer heads, etc.
We support full-process manufacturing: machining, stamping, forging, and heat treatment, ensuring precision and performance.
We can assemble basic hand tools into complete sets according to customer requirements:
- Household repair tool sets
- Industrial assembly tool sets
We support OEM/ODM production and provide one-stop finished product delivery from component processing, surface treatment, and assembly to packaging.
We have introduced advanced equipment and technology from Japan and Germany (CNC 5-axis and 6-axis machines) to better serve our customers' needs.
Our maximum processing outer diameter is 60, and the minimum control tolerance is 0.001.
