Custom CNC Irregular Profile Locating Shaft Pins are high-precision non-standard positioning assembly components manufactured by integrated turn-milling CNC machining. Different from ordinary cylindrical pins, these locating pins adopt customized irregular profiles according to assembly track, limiting space and guiding requirements, including stepped flat cuts, bilateral flats, tapered guiding ends, limiting grooves and eccentric steps. Processed from solid stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum alloy and brass, each pin features tight control of profile dimension, radial runout, fitting tolerance and surface roughness. Widely used for precise positioning, anti-rotation, stroke limiting and module alignment in automation tooling, testing fixtures and precision transmission mechanisms. Customization based on drawings and samples is available, covering prototype sampling to mass production.
Unlike standard cylindrical pins, the integrated irregular profile enables circumferential anti-rotation without extra locking components, simplifying mechanical structure. Custom shapes meet requirements of groove alignment, angle positioning and directional insertion for complex mechanisms, improving operation consistency of equipment.
One-step composite CNC forming processes contours, steps, flats and guiding ends simultaneously. It eliminates position errors caused by welding or secondary processing. Smooth surface transition without sharp burrs ensures smooth insertion and extraction and prevents scratching mating holes.
Clearance fit, transition fit and interference fit can be customized according to assembly requirements. Low dimensional dispersion within batches guarantees stable repeated positioning accuracy. The pins maintain consistent alignment under long-term reciprocating motion and frequent disassembly, reducing assembly defects.
Materials can be selected based on load and working environment: tempered carbon steel for medium-load wear-resistant scenarios; stainless steel for humid, oily and mildly corrosive environments; lightweight aluminum alloy; non-magnetic brass for precision testing instruments. Optional nickel plating, zinc plating, black oxide, polishing and passivation enhance hardness, wear resistance and anti-rust performance.
