(1) Thread System and Precision
- Must be specified: Metric M / British G / Tapered R/RC / NPT / UN/UNF
- Thread angle:
- M: 60°
- G/R: 55°
- NPT: 60° tapered
- Pitch, thread height and root radius must strictly comply with standards to prevent false locking and leakage
- Tolerance class:
- External thread: 6g
- Internal thread: 6H
- Key point: Threaded products must avoid thread damage during post‑processing (heat treatment, electroplating, oxidation, cleaning, polishing, grinding, laser engraving, etc.). Technically eliminate risks in ring gauge inspection to ensure “go gauge passes, no‑go gauge stops” and guarantee interchangeability.
(2) Sealing Structure (Determines Leakage Performance)
- Face hard seal: metal‑to‑metal, for high pressure and high temperature
- Flat face + gasket seal: commonly used, low cost, high flatness requirement
- O‑ring seal: most universal, strict requirements for groove size and compression rate
- Flare seal: widely used for copper tubes (mostly brass) and aluminum tubes
- Tapered thread seal (NPT/R): sealed by thread deformation, must be used with sealant / PTFE tape
(3) Geometric Tolerances
- Concentricity: affects engagement smoothness and eccentric wear
- Perpendicularity: critical for face sealing
- Assembly clearance: excessive clearance causes wobble; insufficient clearance causes seizing
(4) Surface Treatment
- Rust prevention: zinc plating, nickel plating, zinc‑nickel alloy plating, passivation, electrophoresis, Teflon coating
- Conductivity: tin plating, silver plating
- Wear resistance: chrome plating, nitriding
- Outdoor / humid environment: salt spray test 24h / 48h / 96h / 1000h
(5) Deburring and Chamfering
- Burrs are strictly prohibited in fluid / pneumatic / hydraulic systems
- Hazards of burrs: scratch seals, block flow paths, cause jamming and leakage
